Our Christiana ED sees patients a variety of injuries or medical conditions.Highlights:

Acquiring vital signs and performing EKG's are also required. We seek someone who can demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients. Should demonstrate the ability to obtain information and identify patient needs and provide care as needed.Duties Include:
    • Performs assigned nursing procedures that pertain to the comfort and well-being of patients.
    • Responds to patient crisis situations and initiates interventions within the scope of responsibilities and notifies RN.
    • Performs venipuncture and finger sticks on patients, following all standard laboratory safety policies.
    • Performs essential unit specific tasks under the direction of RN, e.g. EKGs, height and weight measurements.
    • Reviews orders placed for patient testing and sends lab specimens using PowerChart system.Requirements:
      • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
      • High school graduate or equivalent.
      • Previous work experience or completion of Patient Care Technician and/or Phlebotomist programs.Shift/Hours:
        • This position is for 72 hours per pay period.
        • 3pm-3am
        • You may work 8 or 12 hour shifts or combinations of those shifts.
        • There are weekend and holiday requirements per department and hospital practice.
