As a Pathology Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our pathologists and laboratory staff in the examination and processing of surgical specimens.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pathology and laboratory medicine, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Perform gross examinations of surgical specimens, including dissection and preparation of tissue for histologic processing
• Assist with autopsy procedures, including organ dissection and submission of tissue blocks
• Communicate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient careRequirements
  • Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology
