Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is urgently needed to provide
maternity leave coverage in a K-12 school setting in Newark, DE.
This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with
children across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th
grade, within a supportive educational environment. The role
requires expertise in pediatric speech and language development and
the ability to manage a caseload that spans diverse communication
needs. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized speech and
language therapy services to students from kindergarten through
12th grade - Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored
treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication
challenges - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other
educational professionals to support student progress - Maintain
accurate documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and
reports - Adjust therapy techniques to accommodate a variety of
developmental and special education needs Desired Qualifications: -
Valid SLP certification with relevant licensure - Experience in
school-based speech-language pathology, working with pediatric
populations - Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment,
intervention, and progress monitoring - Familiarity with
educational protocols and Individualized Education Program (IEP)
processes - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to
engage students, families, and school staff Location: Newark,
Delaware Duration: Contract position for the current school year
(CSY), starting ASAP to cover maternity leave This is an excellent
